Beton Brut is a visual journal showcasing the brutalist masterpiece that is Clifton Cathedral; through pieces of photography, typography or collage. A building I have admired for many years due to the contrasting nature of it’s surrounding architecture. It lies deep in the heart of Clifton, a suburb of Bristol known for its Victorian, Georgian and even Tudor architecture. However, Clifton Cathedral stands alone, as a concrete wonder that pierces the dated skyline. The perfect example of British Brutalism.
